The iPod I found doesn’t work.

I found a 4-gig iPod Nano, third generation, in a puddle the other day. I dried it out and it sort of worked, but now the back-light on the display is dead. It plays mp3’s just fine, but you can only use the menus in very bright light and even then they are hard to read. I can get it fixed for $35. I can buy a replacement display for about $20. I can buy a working used Nano for $50.

I have three or four other MP3 players that work fine. I will be tossing this one in the trash. I could try to eBay it. The non-working ones go for around $10. It is sad, because the Apple mp3 players are by far the better products. I like the nice sleek styling of this one. My 20-gig no-name player is heavy and clunky in comparison.
