It sounds like I should move to Canada. I have 26 weeks and the end is coming soon because I had a 2 month furlough last year that counts towards the 26. Any extension is tied up with the sequestration bill from congress.

If I get laid off,I have something like 12 years of unemployment to fall back on. EI (formally Unemployment Insurance)goes by the amount of hours but Ottawa since bill C70 last year changed some of the laws so I don’t know what they are anymore. Hope you have enough for unemployment insurance to get by on, good luck.
