I checked and Google has the history of all the sites that I’ve clicked from Google searches going back to June 30, 2007. That’s almost 5 years of Googling totaling 43,664 clicks. The first entry was for forum.java.sun.com, which is no longer active.

I deleted the history, not because I have something to hide, but “just in case”.

I think that it is not a bad thing to keep the information, and I may allow Google to accumulate the information going forward.

If you are interested, you can do the following to clear your history.

• Step 1: Pull up your Google web history
• Step 2: Hit the pause button to stop your data from being collected moving forward
• Step 3: Select the “Remove All Web History” button to do exactly that
