A few minutes ago I thought that someone was shaking my chair in order to get my attention. There was no one there. A few seconds later I felt it again and I could feel the floor moving under my feet. It turns out it was an earthquake centered somewhere in Virginia.

Here, in New York, it was not very intense, but when I felt the shaking, I was a little worried that the older building that I work in might be damaged. The nets are saying it was a 6.0 quake, which is strong enough to do some damage. It is strange that I could feel it here, as far as 250 miles away.

I don’t like earthquakes and I hope that it does not happen again. Let California keep them.
