The reason that I like playing harmonica is that when I first started, I had a few lessons from Phil Wiggins. Phil taught me how to bend notes on the harmonica.

Phil used to play with the guitarist John Cephas who died a year or so ago. I really enjoyed their soft acoustic style. It is half gospel and half folk with just enough blues thrown in to make it interesting.

Phil has teamed up with another of my old Blues Week friends: Nat Reese. I hope they get some songs down and kick some folk-blues butt.
