One person started following me on Google Buzz. As near as I can make out, this person who I don’t know, might be a young lady from Oklahoma City. I assume that I was followed in error, so I blocked her. I hope that she is not insulted.
The privacy issues of thinks like Facebook and Buzz are a Pandora’s box of potential trouble. I don’t see a box that I can check off that prevents people from looking at my profile without my permission.
If I get many unknowns following me, I will have to take my Google profile private.

Was she exhibiting stocker like behavior?
How do you know she was following you, as apposed to making comments on everyone's profiles hoping to fish out somebody to talk to?
She was listed in google buzz as following me. Some people are “friend sluts” who just want to have as many facebook friends or twitter followers as possible. I refuse to follow or friend anyone that I don’t personally know. People that I have met or corresponded with are OK, but I draw the line at strangers, even if they are friends of friends.
A friend is someone who will lend you their truck. A facebook friend is someone who will tell the reporter, “Gee, he seemed like such a quite person.”
I see. She’s just someone who you followed/subscribed/ friended your profile even though you two hadn’t exchanged more than a few words. I guess that’s okay. She might be a friend whore trying to get over 1000 people to subscribe to her account- the online equivalent of taping your business card to the front door of every house in the neighborhood.
Harmless, but shallow.
That’s better than the alternative. I thought she might be a stocker- someone who was harassing you online.
I just got another one. I turned off buzz. I will wait for a while to see if they tighten up the security,
I turned Buzz back on. I’ve read some posts about it and tweaked the privacy. I hope now that it will allow me to pick and choose my followers. Like twitter or facebook, I don’t want just anybody following me.
