Ecce Homo Restoration
Recently an 80 year old woman named Cecilia Gimenez, who wanted to fix a deteriorated masterpiece, painted a distorted face over it. The Fresco is/was Ecce Homo by Elías García Martínez located in Santuario de la Misericordia, a Roman Catholic church in Borja, Spain near the city of Zaragoza.
I am considering using this as the cover of my next book. It has a kind of bizarre outsider art appeal to it.
