NASA Jobs

Every Friday I get an email from USAJobs informing me about new jobs at NASA. I have no hope of getting a job at NASA as the incoming congress will gut the agency. To them there is no reason to explore space now that the second coming of Jesus is near. I usually ignore these […]

The Honor System

We’ve had a table in the driveway selling honey on the honor system. It’s been two weeks and we’ve been selling a couple of times a week this way. I worried that someone would take off with the whole basket, but so far everyone has been honest.

Killing eZines

I submitted to a couple of eZines that I did not know much about. I haven’t heard back, but it hasn’t been that long. I thought I’d check them out to see how they are doing and there is NOTHING happening at these websites. The have not changed their site in months. One is supposed […]

Story subbed.

I had this quasi-resolution to only submit to “Pro” magazines. I had to give up today for one of my stories. It is a story about a girl with Down’s Syndrome told from the viewpoint of the girl. It is way too soft and light for any of the pro venues that I have left […]

Personal Reject, perhaps

Sheila at Asimov’s is not shy about issuing personal rejections. I checked Duotrope and there have been a few in the last week. The response was short and said nice things, but nothing specific, so it could be her canned personal response. I will have to Google Asimov’s “rejectomancy” later. In any case is is […]
