I saw an ad for CreateSpace, which is Amazon’s new POD site. It looks like it competes with LuLu. I took the three stories that I turned into MP3 files and made a CD out of it. It’s only 32 minutes, but Amazon has a minimum price of $9.00.
I am doing this as a test. Perhaps someone will actually pay for this, but I doubt it. I am tempted to buy a copy to see how it comes out, but not at $9.99. They have deep discounts for quantity sales. They also give you a free ISBN or product code when they publish, so it might even be a good deal.
My next step is to create a “how to play harmonica” or “how to service an old tube amp” book and try the book thing. I have most of my short story anthology formated and all I have to do is press the button to create a PDF file, but I don’t think that I’m ready for that.
