Sunday Joy Ride

Erica and I took off for the far hinterlands of north-western New Jersey. It's amazing that you can travel 50 or so miles outside of New York City and be in the total boonies. We got lost and then referred to a map and went to Mohawk Lake and then travelled south to Long Valley and the back up to the highways and home.

We started getting lost after we stopped at Eagle Lake. My grandfather retired and in the 1950s built this house with his own hands, having never done any carpentry before.

Ibought gas for an very low price, at least lower than anything in about a year.

I watched a kid catch a sunny at Mohawk Lake.

Below are some panorama shots that I took. If I did it right they should be working. The first is Mohawk lake, NJ. The second is Eagle Lake where I fished and swam when I visited my Grandfather as a boy in the 1950s.
