ScienceFictional/freenameastar Crash

Warning: intense geek/nerd speak follows:

The IDIOTS at hostmerit.com (never use this hosting company) have fiddled with something that killed the geeklog installation and as a result ScienceFictional is down. I tried installing a fresh copy of the software and it behaved the same way. It seems to be escaping quotes all over the place whereever I use mySQL. I notified them about it, but it is time to dump these chumps.
I will try migrating back to 1and1.com, even though I hate their hosting interface.
I have work to do today, but I will try and stay late tonight and get some of these transferred – especially freenameastar because that makes me money.
