Hosting down again

Hostmerit has screwed me again. They have let the /tmp volume fill up. This impacts mySQL and the user logs. ScienceFictional.com, FreeNameAStar.com and a few other sites are down. My plan was to get rid of 1and1.com hosting. Now, I am slowly moving my websites back there.

Hosting, no matter who handles it, is a nightmare.

When I hit the lotto, the first thing I'll do is rent a T1 line directly into my basement and host it all myself.

I've had my website up for about a year now and no problems. Of course it's hosted localy. I don't really use the website that much as I could because I'm trying to focus more on my writing then website design. Still, OS Empire works for me. They might not have the services you need though but they still have full CMS support. The owner used to be my old boss at work and I know him vry well. But a local service is always the best approach for hosting because tech support is so handy. On the other hand, guess where Dell's Call Center is located. Right here in boomvile Edmonton :-)

Sorry to hear your having troubles.
