KGP Productions Shuts Down

I received the following unhappy email today. I've been going to KGP shows for may years now. I even have a 6 show pass with three unused shows on it.
After 26 years, PC SHows/KGP Productions has closed up shop and retired to Florida. We have cancelled all future computer shows. The Trenton Computer Festival will continue to be held, see http://www.tcf-nj.org.

Thanks to all our vendors and customers these past 26 years. It was no longer profitable to run Computer Shows as the vendor participation was dropping, as was show attendance.

This is very bad news for you. I would assume there are many out there with passes. You can allways check out coganfairs.com They are planning to pick up the slack KGP left over. They seem to be doing well and waiting out the downturn in the economy.

I personally got tremendous pleasure out of the KGP shows--especially the big ones at Raritan Center between five and ten years ago. I wish KG and his family many happy years of retirement in Florida.

Coganfairs.com is great and worth my drive from New Jersey.

KGP has a left nothing but a trail of disconnected phone numbers.

I bought and paid for a ticket, have sent him a couple of emails and not even the courtesy of a reply.

I guess that my next trip to South FLorida will include a stop at:
9573 New Waterford Cove
Delray Beach.

Ken is now just a petty thief.

Sad, indeed. Even though I may have a 5-show pass with 2 or shows left on it, I'm more saddened at the loss of this show than at the money that I'm out. It was very convenient to visit the hordes of vendors at Raritan Center and shop for odds and ends that cost too much to order online and then have to pay shipping.

There is another flea market, in town. Their big shows are at the Meadowlands, NJ run by Market Pro.

I guess most of the business will go to them now.

Computer shows like video rental stores are pretty much dinosaurs. The people going to these shows have dwindled with Dell selling very powerful pcs for under $500.
